How does radio-based vehicle securing work?

SHERLOG is the only system for radio-based vehicle tracking in operation in the Czech Republic which uses its own radio network. As a result, it cannot be jammed and in the long run, it has a success rate in the tracking of stolen vehicles in excess of 98%.

Six things you should know about the functioning of SHERLOG

• SHERLOG is installed inside your car. We install the system in passenger and utility vehicles and machines. The installation takes over four hours and even you will not know where the unit is. Hiding the system makes sense – long before a thief finds his way to it, we know about him.

• In everyday traffic the SHERLOG car tracking system does not constrain you in any way. You just use it and only when you have your car serviced you let us know that nobody is trying to steal your car and you are only changing wheels, for example.

Now it’s the real thing. Somebody is stealing your car. The course of action now depends on whether you have a passive or active unit.

• If you use a passive unit you only call us when you find that your car is gone. If you have an active unit we ourselves detect that somebody is tampering with your car without your knowledge – the SHERLOG system begins to transmit an alarm signal.

• In either case we send to the spot a fast-deployment unit – a car with a trained crew or a tracking aeroplane.

• We coordinate the whole operation with the Police of the Czech Republic. Our cooperation with the Police is perfect as we can easily secure the vehicle and the Police often catch a well-known car thief.

• Having secured the car, we return it to you. You need not spend any time making an insurance claim as in the case of a stolen car. SHERLOG saves not only your money but also your time.

Why is the radio tracking system unique?

• It is totally reliable. SHERLOG uses a dense network of more than 100 own radio beacons that cover the CzechRepublic. If a thief succeeds in going abroad, he does not stand a chance there, either. We immediately deploy our tracking aeroplane. No thief can hide from SHERLOG radio vehicle tracking!

• It cannot be jammed. Competitive GPS/GSM tracking systems can be quite easily jammed and your car will be never found again. SHERLOG radio vehicle tracking system cannot be jammed – we will find your car even in an underground garage or a special truck.

• It cannot be disconnected. If a thief disconnects the battery this will not turn off the SHERLOG system as it has its own power supply. If a thief tries to destroy it in the car, he will come unstuck. Even if he manages to find the cunningly concealed SHERLOG, if he tries to tamper with it we detect the attempt immediately thanks to the alarm signal.
